Toon Boom Harmony 22

The proposition of this protagonist character-design was an unexpected origin story for the man known as Santa Claus from a lone-wolf antihero, inspired by the names Nicholas and Rudolph.
Nicholas means “victory of the people;” Rudolph means “famous wolf;” I combined these signficances to create a mechanically inclined young man-at-arms scarred by vainglory and villainy.
His broad stature previews the jolly old saint he becomes, and his artificial arm with paneled compartments affirms his future handiwork, though the blue metal contrasts with his fated red suit.
